The Shaw 9 is designed for harbour and coastal racing, with the ability to go offshore in races such as Auckland-Fiji or the Transpac.
Its canting keel and forward canard (or twin daggerboards) make this 30 footer easily manageable with a crew of four or five, and its moderate beam allows for transport by container. The first two of these boats, built in carbon-foam composite, have been launched in New Zealand, with enquiries received from Europe, the United States, Australia and Asia.
