Shaw 650 Turbo

This design was an evolution of the standard Shaw 650. The client was looking for an affordable performance sportboat which could be competitive with much larger sport boat designs.

This boat features the same hull as the standard Shaw 650, with the addition of a larger rig and four trapezes. This increased power results in heightened performance on all points of sail in all conditions.

This design has enjoyed significant success on the New Zealand sport boat circuit as well as in club racing, with speeds in excess of 20 knots not uncommon.
